Pregnant Woman Stabbed

A woman six weeks pregnant is in hospital Monday after being stabbed in the abdomen.
Police found the 27-year-old suffering from a stomach wound on the sixth floor of a highrise apartment building near Islington Ave. and Dixon Rd.
She was rushed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for treatment following the midmorning assault. Her condition, and the state of the fetus, is unclear.
Emergency Task Force officers took a man into custody at the scene without incident.
There’s no word on whether charges may be laid against 25-year-old Shawn Henry, whom police say is the victim’s husband.
