Gas leak sparked brief evacuation at Ossington subway station

Full subway service has resumed at Ossington Station after a gas leak on Bloor Street sparked a brief evacuation.

Police say a car hit a gas line on Bloor, and the driver left the scene. No injuries have been reported.

Enbridge Gas was quick to the scene and capped the leak within the hour.

Trains were bypassing Ossington in both directions on the Bloor-Danforth line for about an hour and Bloor Street West was closed form Ossington to Dovercourt Road.  Some local businesses were also evacuated as a precaution.

All the roads have since reopened.
