Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Brampton hit-and-run

Peel are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a hit-and-run in Brampton.
The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m., Saturday at Castlemore Road and Bayridge Drive, west of Goreway Drive.
Police say a 69-year-old male was in the crosswalk on the west side of Crystalhill Drive, crossing Castlemore Road, when a vehicle turned right onto Castlemore Road, knocking the victim to the ground.
The man sustained serious head injuries and broken bones. He was transported to a Toronto hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.
Police say the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
Witnesses described the vehicle to police as a light coloured minivan, which was last seen westbound on Castlemore Road, towards Airport Road.
Members of the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
