A homeowner on Silverthorn Avenue is dealing with a big problem: the foundation of his house crumbled on Tuesday afternoon.
A witness on the scene reported that he bent over to pick something up from the ground when the hydro line next to the house snapped.
It hit a flatbed truck that had been delivering cement and then the ground beside the man.
The witness said he was lucky to be alive following the incident.
Originally, the homeowner had excavated the foundation to install weeping tiles. There were cement blocks on the veranda and the extra weight caused the wall to collapse.
No one was hurt.
