More than 350 Canadian musicians are pressing Ottawa to impose a levy on MP3 players.
In a letter to the federal government, the artists said they should receive some of the money from sales of the devices.
Currently, a levy is applied to blank cassettes and CDs as compensation for music that’s copied.
However, sales of cassettes and CDs have plunged, resulting in less money being sent to artists.
