Toronto police recruiting school crossing guards

TORONTO, Ont. – With another school year on the horizon, Toronto police are recruiting school crossing guards on part-time temporary contracts.
The job requires a one-school-year commitment of three hours each day.
For those interested, but unable to commit to three hours each day, there are opportunities for those able to fill in for guards who may be unavailable.
School crossing guards are responsible for ensure the safety of all school-aged children up to, and including, those in Grade 6.
Applicants are subject to a vision test, medical certification, and must have a police background and a security check conducted. this process can take up to three months.
The salary for this position is $13.14 an hour, including travel and vacation.
