TORONTO, Ont. – EMS officials say a young woman who was pulled from Lake Ontario with no vital signs Tuesday afternoon is now breathing again.
The 23-year-old was rescued from the waters by lifeguards in the Kew Beach Avenue area just before 3 p.m.
Emergency crews arrived at the foot of Kippendavie Avenue and performed CPR at the scene, before rushing the woman to hospital.
Emergency workers managed to revive the woman and say she had a pulse and was breathing on her own by the time she arrived at hospital, although she was still unconscious.
