Greece PM to face confidence vote today

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou faces a razor-edge confidence vote in his parliament Friday, which may have major repercussions on the Eurozone economy.

In a desperate attempt to keep his government alive, Papandreou now insists there will be no referendum.

The decision has reportedly brought some of his own MPs, who went rogue Thursday, back on side.

What will determine the outcome of Friday’s confidence vote is weather enough of the MPs have reconciled their relationship with the Prime Minister.

Greek political analyst George Agolopolis told the BBC he thinks Papandreou is finished.

Today’s vote will take place just after 5 p.m. Eastern.
