SIU investigate after cyclist struck by OPP cruiser in Orillia

The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after an 85-year-old cyclist was struck by an unmarked Ontario Provincial Police crusier in Orillia.
Police say it happened just before 5 p.m., Tuesday.
The vehicle was travelling westbound on Atherley Road near Gill Street when it came in collision with a cyclist, who was also travelling on Atherly Road.
The elderly man was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries and then later airlifted to Toronto.
The 46-year-old officer was also transported to hospital where he was treated and released.
