Several road closures for Sunday’s annual Easter Parade in the Beach

The annual Beaches Easter Parade is set to take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, filling the streets of Toronto with rabbits, eggs and the Easter spirit.

Thousands of people lined up in advance and set up lawn chairs to catch a glimpse of the parade.

As to be expected, there will be road closures as the parade procession starts from Queen Street East and Munro Park Avenue.

The parade will then continue along Queen to Woodbine Avenue.

A full road closure will be in place on Queen Street East and parts of Nursewood Road, Woodbine Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard East.

The public is reminded that the event will take place regardless of weather conditions, so people should anticipate significant traffic congestion in the area.

Also remember that TTC service will be re-routing buses during the event.

Road closures: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

Queen Street East (partial road), Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road

Road closures: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.:

Queen Street East (full road), Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road

Nursewood Road (full road), Queen Street East to 24 Nursewood Road

Road closures: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

Queen Street East (full road), Woodbine Avenue to Fallingbrook Road

Road closures: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

Woodbine Avenue (full road), Queen Street East to Lakeshore Boulevard East

Lakeshore Boulevard East (full road), Coxwell Avenue to Woodbine Avenue
