Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing near Islington and the Queensway

TORONTO, Ont. – A 68-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing in the city’s west-end.
It happened around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the Yorkview Drive and Islington Avenue area, just north of the Queensway.
It is alleged that a 49-year-old man was confronted by the accused, who are known to each other. The accused then allegedly stabbed the man, causing serious injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
