Halton officer charged with mischief

A Halton Regional Police officer is facing one charge of mischief after throwing items off a fourth-floor condo balcony in Oakville earlier this week.
Police said Chris Peters, 27, was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident, which took place on Parkhaven Boulevard Monday evening.
Peters, who has been with the force for three years, is suspended from active duty without pay.
He will make a court appearance in Milton on June 19.
