U.S. server with sensitive data hacked, London, Ont., teen charged

LONDON, Ont. – A 17-year-old London, Ont., resident has been charged with hacking into a computer server in the United States.
Police said the teen was arrested Thursday after officers with a warrant searched a London home.
They were acting on a complaint from the sheriff’s department in Castle Rock, Colo.
Police said the complaint involved unauthorized access and damage to a private server that contained sensitive data, including tax records.
The male teen is charged with fraudulenty using a computer and password to commit an offence and wilfully interfering with the lawful use of data.
