Family appeals to public in case of missing man

The family of a missing Toronto man have made a public plea for help as they try to find him.

Stephen Lapowich, 30, was last seen on on March 27, 2011 in Toronto.

Toronto police said at the time he was on his way to Puerto Rico.

His mother said she hopes for the best, but fears the worst.

“I try to be optimistic but I really see-saw between that and despair. Knowing the kind of person Stephen is – he is so sensitive to family and other people’s needs,” she said.

The family is offering a reward of up to $30,000 for information in his disappearance.
