Boy, 11, struck by driver of vehicle in Scarborough

An 11-year-old boy was injured after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Scarborough.
The incident happened in the Midland Avenue and Ellesmere Road area around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The boy has been rushed to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
Toronto police tell CityNews the driver was behind the wheel of a four-door pickup truck and remained at the scene.
Police are investigating and say road closures are expected.
