MONTREAL — Formula One season leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull has won the Montreal Grand Prix, holding off Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz.

It was the first Formula One race in Montreal in three years, after COVID-19 forced its cancellation in 2020 and 2021.
