Toronto police have released photos and video of a brazen armed jewellery store robbery that took place in Rexdale last May, hoping for help identifying three outstanding suspects.
Police say on May 4, 2022, four men disguised in masks and construction vests stormed a jewellery store in the Finch Avenue West and Highway 27 area.
One of the suspects pointed a gun at the employees and made demands for cash and jewellery, police said.
Video of the incident shows an employee being dragged along the ground, and later kicked.
The suspects took a large quantity of jewellery before taking off in a stolen vehicle.
An investigation was launched and police executed two search warrants on Oct. 5, 2022.
Police allege that during those searches they recovered clothing that was worn by one of the suspects during the robbery.
Johnathan Prevost, 18, of Richmond Hill, (pictured below) was arrested and is facing over a dozen charges, including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and assault with a weapon.
