A cement truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 400 on Friday night.
Ontario Provincial Police say just before 6 p.m. the cement truck was travelling southbound on the highway near Finch Avenue when it suffered a tire failure and was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The force of the crash propelled the truck into the northbound lanes of the highway.
Video provided by police shows the mixing drum separated from the truck which was mostly destroyed in the crash.
The driver was extricated from the wreckage and taken to a nearby trauma centre.
OPP said late Friday he was suffering from life-threatening injuries.
