Person rushed to hospital after stabbing at Ajax GO Transit station: police

A male victim is recovering in hospital after being stabbed at the GO Transit station in Ajax on Tuesday, Durham Regional Police officers say.
In a message posted on Twitter just after 3 p.m., officers said the victim was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto with life-threatening injuries.
However, in an update released Tuesday evening, investigators said the victim was stabilized.

The circumstances surrounding the incident weren’t immediately clear.
The GO Transit website didn’t report any widespread train stoppages in the area.
News of the assault investigation comes amid several recent headlines about safety-related incidents on the Toronto Transit Commission.
GO Transit staff recently handed out flyers to riders on the system promoting a mobile text-based service that allows customers to report safety concerns.
