Man in 20s arrested after stabbing at downtown Toronto hotel

A man has serious injuries and another man is in police custody after a stabbing at downtown Toronto hotel.

Toronto police were called to the Chelsea Hotel, in the area of Yonge and Gerrard streets, just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday after getting reports someone was stabbed.

Officers located one man with a stab wound. He was rushed to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police did not say if the man was staying at the hotel.

The suspect fled the scene but was located by officers a short time later. Police say they have arrested a man in his 20s.

The investigation is ongoing.
