Man facing over 30 charges for smashing car windows in Scarborough neighbourhood: police

It's alleged that a man smashed windows to multiple motor vehicles and stole valuables or money in a Scarborough neighbourhood.

A Toronto man faces over 30 charges after allegedly smashing several car windows and stealing various items in a Scarborough neighbourhood.

On Monday, Toronto police responded to the Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area for reports of a damaged vehicle.

It’s alleged that a man smashed the windows of multiple motor vehicles and stole valuables or money. During the investigation, officers identified 31 victims and concluded 14 occurrences at different addresses in the area.

Officers identified the man in the area and arrested him.

Police said 51-year-old Jamie Mihailovich of Toronto is facing 33 counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of fraud under $5,000 and failing to comply with a release order.

Mihailovich appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
