2 injured, 1 critically after multi-vehicle rollover crash in Mississauga

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle rollover crash that resulted in one driver being ejected from their car and critically injured in Mississauga.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said officers in Mississauga responded to the multi-vehicle crash around 11 p.m. on Friday on Highway 403 in the westbound lane approaching Eglinton Avenue.

One driver was ejected from the vehicle and rushed to a trauma centre with potentially life-threatening injuries. A second driver was assessed with minor injuries, Sgt. Schmidt said.

“We’re looking into all factors, alcohol and speed… in this collision,” Sgt. Schmidt said.

All lanes from Highway 410 and Highway 401 to Highway 403 were blocked for roughly six hours as a result of the multi-vehicle crash.

Those lanes reopened around 6 a.m. on Saturday.
