Four shot, one in critical condition after shooting in Mississauga

Police are searching for suspects following a shooting in Mississauga that sent four people to hospital on Saturday night.

Investigators were called to an industrial complex on Queensway East east of Stanfield Road around 6:30 p.m. for reports of gunshots in the area.

When police arrived they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a nearby trauma centre. One was listed in life-threatening condition while the other two were listed in stable condition.

A fourth person eventually showed up at a local hospital, also suffering from a gunshot wound. He was listed in stable condition.

Video evidence obtained by police showed a getaway vehicle – a white Ram 1500 pick-up truck – was seen fleeing the area and was later recovered in Caledon but police say it was unoccupied.

No suspect description has been provided at this time but police said they believe this to be a “targeted interaction” and there is no risk of safety to the public.

Police would not comment on whether or not this shooting is related to or connected to other similar incidents that have occurred in the area.
