Fire crews battle 2-alarm blaze near Union Station

Fire crews are battled a two-alarm fire near Union Station on Saturday.

Firefighters were called to 141 Bay Street, just south of Front Street, around 1:15 p.m. Black smoke could be seen coming from the roof of a building under construction in the area.

No injuries were reported so far.

GO Transit says they were asked to clear some train tracks so that firefighters could position equipment to better fight the blaze, however, service was not impacted.

The TTC did not report any major service impacts with its subways at Union Station.
