19-year-old killed in motorcycle crash on Hwy. 401 in Scarborough

A motorcyclist dead after an early morning single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Toronto.
The crash happened at approximately 5:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Markham Road.
Police say the victim is a 19-year-old from Pickering. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP collision reconstruction members are documenting evidence to determine the circumstances.
The eastbound Express lanes are detoured at Kennedy Road and expected to be closed until 11:00 a.m.
Any witnesses of the incident are asked to call Toronto OPP.
