Weekend TTC and road closures: Aug. 16-18

Here’s a list of events and construction shutting down roads and TTC service this weekend.
EVENT
International Street Festival (Saturday to Monday)
- Eglinton Avenue, from Dufferin Street to Marlee Avenue, will be closed in both directions from 3 a.m. on Saturday to 3 a.m. on Monday.
TTC CLOSURES
Bloor-Danforth line
- There will be no service between St. George and Pape stations on the Bloor-Danforth line on Sunday morning as crews replace beams on the Bloor Viaduct.
- Shuttle buses will run until noon, when the line reopens.
- Update: service resumed at 11 a.m., ahead of schedule.
Pape station
- Pape station will be closed to the public from Aug. 19-30 for renovations.
- During the closure, subway trains will not stop at Pape station and buses will be on diversion.
ROAD CLOSURES
Richmond and York streets
- The intersection of Richmond and York will be closed until Aug. 17 due to reconstruction work on TTC streetcar tracks.
- Suggested alternative routes are Queen Street West, Wellington Street West and King Street West. Access to sidewalks will be maintained.
Spadina Avenue and King Street
- The intersection of Spadina Avenue and King Street West will be closed in all directions until Aug. 20 at 6 a.m. for TTC track replacement.
Bayview Avenue
- Bayview Avenue, from River to Lower River streets, will be closed for six weeks starting Aug. 6 for work on the Don Valley natural gas pipeline.
Gardiner Expressway
- Two eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway, from Jarvis Street to the Don Roadway, will be closed until Dec. 1.
