2 teens charged after woman stabbed at Scarborough Town Centre

Two 16-year-old girls are facing charges after a woman was stabbed several times outside Scarborough Town Centre on Wednesday night.
It’s alleged that the 26-year-old victim was exiting the mall when her cellphone was stolen by the two suspects.
Police say the woman chased after the girls to try to get her phone back when she was stabbed numerous times.
Paramedics say she was stabbed multiple times in the face and the torso.
She was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday the teens were arrested and charged with robbery, attempted murder, aggravated assault and theft under $5,000.
The suspects cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
