Street Beat – December 23 – Man Arrested for Sexual Assault

Peel Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls and they believe there are more victims.
Officers allege the suspect was a tutor who assaulted two of his students, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old.
The suspect allegedly owns and operates a tutoring business with six separate locations, two in Mississauga, one in Brampton, one in Vaughan, and two in Toronto.
Phong Mai, 34, was arrested on December 21 and charged with:
- two counts of sexual assault
- one count of sexual exploitation
- one count of sexual interference

Orillia Man Facing Child Porn Charges
The OPP have arrested an Orillia man accused of possessing child pornography.
The arrest came after an on-line undercover child pornography investigation.
Police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on December 22. Investigators seized a computer allegedly containing images of child sexual abuse.
Jordan Bylow, 19, was arrested and charged with:
- two counts of possession of child pornography
- one count of making available child pornography
- one count of accessing child pornography
Police Investigating Attempted Abduction
Toronto Police are investigating after a man allegedly attempted to abduct a 17-year-old girl.
The incident happened around 6:45am on December 20, near Marlee and Stayner avenues.
Officers say the teen was walking west along the sidewalk whe nshe saw a man abruptly stop his older, four-door, dark-coloured car.
She kept walking, but was grabbed from behind by the man who covered her mouth with his hand. She struggled and was able to escape.
The man, described only as having an olive complexion, was last seen driving towards Marlee Avenue.
