A man has been found dead following a weekend fire.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the Scarlett Road and Eglinton Avenue area around 6:15pm on January 3.
Police found a man in the lower level of the home.
Stanley Baranski, 55, the owner of the home, was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, officials determined he died of smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire was careless smoking, and there were no working smoke detectors in the house.
