If you were lucky enough to make it out to Monster Jam at the Rogers Centre on Saturday you would have witnessed an awesome display of monster truck action. Yes, there was lots of noise and dust and trucks bouncing around, but there was also a great feeling of excitement during the entire event (my 3-year-old son summed it up best when he looked at me and proclaimed “This is so cool!” after the first truck hit the mound and flew into the air.)
Fan favourites Grave Digger, Grave Digger Legend, El Toro Loco, and Excaliber were there, and for the first time in Toronto, Maximum Destruction rolled into town. The audience welcomed him loudly during his race and freestyle competition, and he went above and beyond for his performance. Even Robosaurus, the giant fire-breathing robot that eats cars, came out of retirement for the night.
If you want to experience what Monster Jam is all about there is another performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday. For more info and to purchase tickets, visit monsterjam.com.
