A 42-year-old man was knifed in the chest near Spadina. He was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Nightclub Attack
A 25-year-old man is listed in critical condition in hospital after he was stabbed in an Oshawa nightclub early Sunday.
Police arrived at the bar on King Street, near Mary Street, around 1:45am. There were about 300 people outside the club when the attack happened.
Bouncers tried to stop a suspect as he tried to flee the scene.
Durham Police are still searching for several suspects.
Police Pursuit
Police arrested a shooting suspect in a high-risk take down Saturday night after they chased the gunman from the downtown core to Don Mills.
Authorities were alerted after shots were heard in the Dundas and University area around 10pm. Officers chased a black SUV to Eglinton near Don Mills, where they arrested the suspect.
Cop Injured In Chase
A Toronto Police officer suffered a deep wound on his hand while chasing a break-in suspect in the east end.
The officer apparently spotted a man breaking into a car at Queen and Bellefair in the Beach around 4am Sunday morning.
He gave chase, but gashed his hand while climbing over a chain link fence during the pursuit.
The officer needed 15 stitches to close the wound on his left hand and will apparently miss a couple of weeks of work.
The suspect got away.
