Road Woes Continue For Toronto After Loss In Dallas

The Toronto Raptors fell to a dismal 1-8 on the road and the Dallas Mavericks won their 11 th straight Wednesday night, downing the visiting Raptors 117-98.

Josh Howard led the offence for the Mavs, scoring an impressive 26 points.   The Mavs proved they could handle adversity when Dirk Nowitzki left the game in the first quarter with blurred vision.

The five-time all-star did not return, but his teammates more than compensated for his absence, playing a tight defensive game.

Jerry Stackhouse chipped in with 23 points and Jason Terry added 14 for the Mavericks, who have now won 22 straight games against Eastern Conference opponents.

For Toronto, Chris Bosh scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds.

The only good news to come out of the game for Toronto came when point guard Darrick Martin sank a three-pointer at the final buzzer to extend Toronto’s NBA record three-pointer streak to 629 straight games.
