How You Can Sing With Justin Timberlake On The Grammys

They threw things at him when he appeared at Toronto’s SARS concert in 2003. But since then, Justin Timberlake has had something of a career turnaround.

Now it’s come full circle, with organizers of the Grammy Awards announcing a contest to allow one lucky fan to actually sing with the star at the music industry’s biggest show next February.

The contest involves finding an unsigned artist to perform “SexyBack” with the 25-year-old on stage.

To qualify, you have to send in a 60-second clip of one of nine songs selected by Timberlake – all of which have won Grammys.  The contenders will then be whittled down to three, and they’ll all attend the awards show but won’t know for sure if they’ve won until the former ‘N Sync member calls them up on stage for their big moment.

The songs to be performed for the audition tape are:

Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You,”
Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father,”
Melissa Etheridge’s “Come to My Window,”
Timberlake’s own “Cry Me a River,”
Faith Hill’s “Breathe,”
Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It,”
Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,”
Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and
Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love.”
