Bad Move

He was only trying to help what he thought was a broken-down vehicle at the side of the road in the German town of Bremen.

But the Good Samaritan was in for a shock when he realized it was a police spot check for intoxicated drivers – and soon the cops had their eyes on him. It was his state of drunkenness that caused him to make the mistake, and because he’d been driving before he stumbled out of the car to help, police weren’t letting him go easily.

“Obviously his optical assessment of the situation as he drove past was that this was a vehicle breakdown,” the police said in a statement.

They arrested the man and banned him from driving.
