A Toronto man was rescued after spending five freezing hours in a chimney after an apparently hard night of drinking.
Police say he stumbled out of his friend’s Muskoka Lakes cottage in the middle of the night to relieve himself, but he stumbled back to the wrong cottage and couldn’t get inside.
After no one answered the front door he climbed onto the roof and tried to slide down the chimney. He was stuck there for five chilly hours before contractors working at a nearby cottage heard his cries for help Thursday morning.
Maybe he thought there’d be cookies and milk waiting for him at the bottom.
