Avril Lavigne Buys L.A. Mansion

She’s a Napanee girl no longer.

Singer Avril Lavigne, who originally hails from the small Ontario town, has reportedly paid $9.5 million for a home in the posh Los Angeles neighbourhood of Bel-Air.

Lavigne purchased the three-storey residence with her rock star husband Deryck Whibley of rock band Sum 41.

According to reports the home has eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, with an elevator, a sauna, and a garage that can accommodate 10 vehicles.

The punk-pop singer’s known for hits including Complicated and Sk8er Boi, and is about to release her third album The Best Damn Thing.

She also took a turn at acting in the 2006 film Fast Food Nation.
