What started out as a stabbing outside a Toronto bar has become a murder and the hunt for the man believed responsible for the deadly deed is on.
Twenty-four year-old Jordan Ormonde was knifed in the neck early Sunday after celebrating a friend’s birthday at Kokkino’s, a bar on Danforth Ave. He was rushed to hospital and was in critical but stable condition, until he took a sudden turn for the worse.
He succumbed to his injuries Monday night.
Now cops have released the name of a man they call ‘dangerous,’ who may have allegedly wielded the knife that morning.
“He is: Arber Babbani Krasniqi, 32 years of age. Charged with murder,” intones Det. John Biggerstaff. “We are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect, but they are to use caution and not approach, as he is considered armed and dangerous.”
The man cops believe is the killer was last seen running off into the darkness near Chester and Danforth and he could be anywhere by now.
He’s described as:
- White,
- Eastern-European descent,
- 25-35,
- 5’7″-5’9″,
- Thin,
- Balding with short hair on the sides.
The killing has shocked residents in the area.
“You always walk in there and suddenly there is a murder in there,” remarked one.
Cops say they’re looking for at least one other person in connection with the stabbing. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt with the word “Albania” printed on it.
