Jesse Imeson Found

A province-wide manhunt for the suspect in three murders wrapped up Tuesday night with the arrest of Jesse Imeson.

Ontario Provincial Police say they took the 22-year-old into custody near Ottawa after finding the car belonging to two of his alleged victims in the area.

There are reports he broke into a home just over the Quebec border and came face to face with the owner before being chased out into a forest. The owner called the police immediately, and though he can’t confirm the intruder was Imeson, the murder suspect was picked up a short time later nearby.

Imeson is a suspect in the murders of a Carlos Rivera, a 26-year-old Windsor bartender who was strangled to death and William and Helene Regier, an elderly Grand Bend couple fatally shot earlier in July.

Police in the area were on high alert for the fugitive after the Regiers’ car was found in Renfrew, Ontario Monday night, but law enforcement officials all across Ontario had been on the lookout for Imeson for two weeks leading up to Tuesday’s discovery.

Two guns were recovered at the time of the arrest.
