Raptors Surprise Bulls

The Raptors have been nothing if not inconsistent this season, which is why the Chicago Bulls probably didn’t expect the Dinos to go off Saturday night, handing them their fifth loss of the season 101-71.

Carlos Delfino scored 16 points and Chris Bosh added 14 points and six rebounds in the blowout, and Toronto made quick work out of the Bulls despite playing their fourth game in five nights.

T.J. Ford had 14 assists and Andrea Bargnani scored 14 points for Toronto , which had its largest win against Chicago in franchise history. Andres Nocioni led Chicago with 20 points.

The Raps were up 11 at the half, and went on a 14-1 run to start the second half thanks in large part to the impressive play of Jamario Moon.

Down 21 points, Bulls coach Scott Skiles cleared his starters from the floor with 9:35 left in the third. The lead only grew, and they never returned to the game, instead remaining glued to the bench while a sellout crowd chanted “ Kobe ! Kobe ! Kobe !” in reference to trade rumours regarding Bryant being dealt to the Windy City .

The win was especially nice for Toronto , since heading into Saturday’s game the Raptors had dropped 15 of their last 17 games against Chicago.

Coming off a win against Philadelphia Friday, Toronto takes a two-game win streak into a three-day rest before welcoming the Utah Jazz to the Air Canada Centre.
