Raptors Rock Grizzlies

With T.J. Ford on the sidelines with a sore arm and Chris Bosh missing most of Wednesday night’s game after suffering a groin injury, the Memphis Grizzlies seemed to have a great opportunity to take advantage of the Toronto Raptors.  Instead, the Raptors used a balanced attack to down their struggling opponents, 103-91.

Anthony Parker led the way offensively for Toronto, scoring 19 points, while Jose Calderon had 13 points and 10 assists.  In the end, seven players scored in double digits before an appreciative home crowd at the Air Canada Centre.

Juan-Carlos Navarro led the Grizzlies with 15 points, while Pau Gasol had 13.

The Raptors outplayed the Grizzlies all night, and led by as much as 28 points.  They took a commanding 82-60 led in the fourth.

The only bad news on the night was Bosh’s apparent injury.  He left the game at 9:44 of the second quarter with a strained right groin and didn’t return.

Later Bosh admitted that he hurt his groin at practice earlier in the day.

“I was just trying to get going,” he said. “Usually it’s one of those things that when you get warm, you don’t feel it. But it was a little painful making certain cuts, so I decided to take it easy.

“I’m sure after a good rest tomorrow and good treatment, I’ll be ready to go Friday (when the Raptors host Cleveland).”
