Man Arrested For Violent Robbery At Markham Convenience Store

A man was arrested and two others are being sought in connection with a violent robbery Saturday night in Markham.

Police said a 39-year-old convenience store clerk suffered injuries to his mouth when he was beaten with a shotgun that was handled by at least one suspect.

The three robbers fled the scene in a car that was spotted a couple of hours later by Toronto Police.

One man was arrested after a short foot-chase near Markham Road and Ellesmere. An 18-year-old Toronto man is facing a string of charges.
