Missing Toddler Found Safe And Sound

A baby missing since Monday was found Saturday morning, alive and well and with his mother.

Both mom and son were found in Orangeville. She does not have custody of the tot.

The hunt, which lasted nearly a week, was sparked after a scheduled visit at the Jewish Family and Child Services centre at Promenade Mall went awry.

The 17-year-old was with her 22-month-old baby when they somehow slipped under the radar of officials. By the time authorities realized the youngster and his mom were missing, the trail had gone cold.

The child is now back with Child Services.

The mother is charged with Abduction in Contravention of a Custody Order and is being held in custody.
