Five days after a seemingly random beating and abduction outside a bar, police are still asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
Now they’ve also released an image from a security camera to help locate the suspected trio (top left).
Overnight on Sunday, a man was standing outside the Echo Karaoke Bar on Kennedy Road. It appears that three people approached him, beat him up and forced him into their van, and then took him north on Kennedy toward Steeles Ave. E.
Eventually, they let the beaten and bruised man go. The motive for the attack still isn’t clear.
The victim in this attack has not yet been found, and police aren’t sure if he’s even alive.
Here are the descriptions of the two men:
- Male,
- Asian,
- 5’7″,
- 150 lbs.,
- 30-35,
- Short hair.
The other person involved is said to be a woman who was carrying a brown purse. She’s said to be:
- Asian,
- 5’7″,
- 170 lbs.,
- 40-45,
- Shoulder-length hair.
The van used in the incident was silver in colour but there’s no known model.
Cops know the picture isn’t great, but it’s all they have to go on. Call ( 416) 808-4200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) if either face is familiar.
