A Toronto homeowner has been arrested in connection with drug charges – and “connection” is the key word in this case.
Cops received information about a potential marijuana grow op at an address in the Weston Road and Lawrence Ave. area and on January 6th, went in with a warrant to investigate.
But in the end, they wound up going to two homes – one at 16 King George Rd., the other at 18. They discovered a secret tunnel linking the two residences (top left), and say that’s where the cultivation was underway.
Investigators allege they found 385 budding pot plants (below) in various stages of growth with an estimated street value of $385,000.
On Tuesday, a 43-year-old man surrendered at 31 Division. Domenico Miceli is charged with producing and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
He appeared in an Old City Hall courtroom in the morning.
