More violence rocked the TTC Thursday, after yet another violent incident at a subway station.
The location this time was the Wilson terminal, where a man was stabbed on a bus. It happened on the platform around 4:15pm but there’s no word on what may have led to the confrontation.
The 29-year-old suffered serious but non-life threatening wounds and was rushed to hospital but he’s not cooperating with police.
The incident led to problems at the upper end of the Spadina line during Thursday’s rush home. Subways were bypassing Wilson Station for more than an hour but service has since resumed.
It was a different story for those trying to catch the bus at the busy hub. Passengers were being shuttled to Downsview Subway Station instead while those trying to reach Wilson were being dropped off at Transit Road.
The diversions ended around 9:30pm and the system is now back to normal.
It’s the latest instance of trouble onboard the Red Rocket. On January 22 nd, part of the system was stopped for more than eight hours after a man was shot at Osgoode Subway Station.
The suspect in that case has since turned himself in to police.
