Kiefer Sutherland Charged With Assault After Alleged Headbutt In NYC Nightclub

Kiefer Sutherland is back in trouble with the law. Just months after serving 48 days for a drunken driving offence, the “24” actor is in hot water again, this time over an incident at a New York City hot spot.

The Canadian-born star has been charged with assault for allegedly head-butting fashion designer Jack McCollough at a Gotham nightclub early Tuesday morning. The incident may have involved actress/model Brooke Shields and she may be questioned about what happened.

The charges against the star were filed after Sutherland spoke to authorities on Thursday. He came out of a Lincoln Town Car accompanied by his lawyers, but refused to speak to the media.

Sutherland remains innocent until proven guilty, of course, but he has other things to worry about as the wheels of justice begin to grind. He’s been out on probation for the impaired driving charge from 2008 and this latest tilt with the law could affect whether he’s allowed to remain free.
