Welcome to just some of the hot new toys for summer as chosen by the Canadian Toy Association. They held a gathering for eager kids at Ontario Place on Wednesday, and most of the younger crowd was only too happy to test them out.

And while these hot toys are fun for the kids, they’re also great for the parents. More than 40 per cent of them sell for $20 or less – and that’s a bargain that plays well with adults of any age.
