Shooting Victim Drives Himself To Hospital

A man shot in the chest drove himself to hospital for treatment, police allege.

Officers are investigating a North York gun attack after a 22-year-old man showed up in the emergency room with a chest wound.

He was allegedly attacked at Wedgewood Park (near Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue) around 8:30pm on Sunday.

Though his injuries are serious, the victim is expected to survive. On Monday police released descriptions of the two men they’re seeking in connection with the crime.

Suspect one is described as:

Brown
5’8”
Mid 20s
Heavy build
Wearing a dark shirt and shorts, armed with a handgun.

Suspect two is described as:

Brown, lighter complexion
5’8”
Mid 20’s
Medium build

At least one witness saw a cream or light-coloured SUV leaving the area and it’s considered a vehicle of interest.
