Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help following the arrest of a suspect in a recent robbery and extortion case.
It’s alleged that on June 18, 2009, 35-year-old Jason Carmen Cerasuolo attended the home of a man he met on Cruiseline, a men-only chatline.
It’s further alleged that Cerasuolo forced his way into the victim’s apartment and forced the victim to accompany him to an ATM where the victim withdrew a quantity of cash.
Police also believe the suspect contacted the victim three days later and demanded more money, using threats of violence.
Cerasuolo is described as white, 5’11”, 240 pounds, with blue eyes, short, brown hair and a receding hairline.
Police think there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to call Detective Charles Johnston at 416-808-1100, LGBT Liaison Officer Constable Tom Decker at 416-808-7083, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
