Man Resuscitated After Multiple Shooting Dies In Hospital

A drive-by shooting outside a restaurant in the city’s west end has left one man dead and four others injured.

Toronto Police were called to First Choice Restaurant on Keele St., near Sheppard Ave. W. around 3am on Sunday.

When emergency crews arrived, they allegedly found three men suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds outside.

The trio was rushed to hospital. Paramedics managed to resuscitate one man, believed to be in his 20s, but it was too late. He was pronounced dead later in the evening.

Officers then found two more men with gunshot wounds at the hospital.

Three of the four surviving victims have serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The fourth victim has life-threatening injuries.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time. His death marks Toronto’s 44th murder of the year.

The suspect vehicle was caught on surveillance video from a nearby Shell gas station. Police are looking for an older model, dark-green or dark-blue van with the passenger window shot out.

The rear taillight may also be damaged.
